04/20/19   'Who You Think You Are'

Hello again to whomever is still reading. As promised (or threatened), a new track is now available on the Bandcamp page. The latest ode to hubris and consequence titled 'Who You Think You Are' is available on a stream/free download/pay-what-you-want-to-donate basis as per usual. I've been sitting on this track for far too long and as all of you well may know, if I don't just let the thing go it'll never be done.

As I finish more I'll send out the usual post on the Facebook group.

Take care everyone,

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

12/16/18     'Omens Shining Brightly'

The end of 2018. How the hell did that happen...

Nevertheless, here we are staring down the barrel of another year. And I promised myself I would release at least one track a year until the 'Nemesis' album is complete so here we go.

"Omens Shining Brightly" was a track initially planned for 'The Harbinger' but never made the cut. Now almost 8 years later it has materialized and is available for streaming and download at the T.L.O.P. Bandcamp page. As per usual, it's there as a free download but if anyone wants to make a donation the funds will be given to a family directly affected by cancer. I decided last year that instead of donating the money to a cancer foundation, the money should actually 100% go to the actual people who need it. Call me pessimistic in my old age but I'm skeptical that funds donated to these organizations actually get put to any beneficial use to those who need it. I may be wrong, but I'll risk it.

Anyway, I've been sitting on this track as well as "Who You Think You Are" for a while now so I decided to release at least one of them this year. The latter will surface next month.

As always, thank you to those who are sticking around. I'll have more finished in the upcoming months.

Happy Holidays and take care

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

07/15/17     'Rageseed'

Hello everyone. A few weeks ago I announced on the T.L.O.P. Facebook page that a new 'Nemesis' track was available for download. And true to form, I ended up redoing the vocals and EQing it anyway. I really should take a cue from Scott Walker and never listen to something once I've finished it. The updated wav file was published on the Bandcamp page this evening. I also didn't realize the free download option wasn't in place so I fixed that. Lastly, for those of you who were requesting 'Shadowscape' to be uploaded I've added a 'Shadowscape' single to the Bandcamp page where both parts from the 'Spawning From The Core Abyss' ep can be downloaded. I opted to only upload those two tracks instead of the whole ep because I didn't want to bother with copyrights and blah blah blah over the Gary Numan and Q. Lazarus covers that were on it. I'm still finding it hard to believe that was recorded in 2001. Where the hell did the years go..

You can access the new uploads here and here.

I'll update when more tracks are done. Thank you to everyone who is staying tuned.

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

11/14/16     New Tracks Uploaded (Yes Really)

For starters, rest in peace Leonard Cohen. We all knew the day would come but it doesn't make it any easier when it does. Anyone who knows me knows how huge of a Cohen fan I am. Between Leonard, Bowie and Prince, 2016 has been merciless. The T.L.O.P. cover of "The Future" might make an appearance in the next month or so.

In the meantime, new tracks are indeed available on the Bandcamp page. I've uploaded a few random tracks, namely 'The Cradle', 'Revenant ("And The Light Will Drain From You") and the bonus track 'I Am Stretched On Your Grave ("Táim Sínte Ar Do Thuama")' which is a cover of a 17th century Irish poem that has been done over the years by various groups. On top of all that I did a final (....) revised version of 'Soliloquy'. I swear that's the last time. I've had all these songs done for a while but I keep re-EQing them to the point where I just have to let them go. If I don't release them now I probably never will.

More tracks for 'Nemesis' are on the way. Many are half done or just in need of a tweak here or there (or just in need of me getting off my arse and releasing them). I will update when more are uploaded. I've been primarily dealing with Bandcamp and Soundcloud, haven't touched Myspace in a while (who has?) so the tracks will be available there as they are completed. Also worth mentioning, I have indeed found a more reasonable webstore for merch. I'll send the link when it is all set up.

That's it for now. Thanks everyone who is still reading and listening. Hope you're all well.

07/26/16     Not Leaving Well Enough Alone

Two updates not only in the same month but the same year!?! Truly this must be the end-times.

Just a quick note to say that as promised (or threatened) I replaced the vocals on "Soliloquy" because I can't leave well enough alone and the longer I have to sit on a track the more I find wrong with it. I also did some remixing of levels and EQ-ing etc. As I also mentioned, if you purchased the download you don't need to make another donation to the Cancer Society, just redownload it. And as I also said, if you didn't make a donation, download it again anyway. I don't care. The new version was posted to the Bandcamp page so far and the original version will be deleted from Soundcloud and replaced as well. For now, you can access the Bandcamp version by clicking on these three words.

Another track had been completed for 'Nemesis' as well as the bonus cover "I Am Stretched On Your Grave". Keep an eye out for them. I'll post an update when I make them available anyway.

Until next time,
Lethe Oblivion

07/06/16     Well... this is slightly embarrassing...

If anyone has come to the site in the last few months expecting an update and were disappointed to find there wasn't one, you're not alone. I myself am a tad disappointed since I DID update a few months back and apparently the update didn't save. I could blame the server or my computer but we all know that's on par with me blaming my guitar for being the reason why my music sucks; it's a poor workman who blames his tools so I'll just file this under 'I Fucked Up' and we will just move on. Agreed? Agreed.

What the phantom update DID say was that the 'Nemesis' album is in fact coming along. As of today there are 4 more tracks finished. I'll wait until I'm done of at least half the album before I post anything more since knowing me I won't be 100% satisfied with the finished products until I've sat with them for a while (I'm already in the process of redoing the vocals for "Soliloquy"...see? This is why it takes me so damn long to finish anything. Anyone who paid for the download of that track can just download the redo for free...or anyone who wants to can just download it anyway... I'm not keeping score..).

Another part of the update-that-didn't-happen was me mentioning that another track was added to the roster. I'm including the track "Who You Think You Are" onto the 'Nemesis' album as perhaps bonus content or maybe a really impossible to find hidden track that you don't know about.. but I suppose me mentioning it in the first place sort of defeats the purpose of that. Either way, yes there is another track. Keep an eye out for it.

For now, I'll post more updates (and make sure they actually make it onto the web this time) as they happen. For those of you who stuck around, thank you as always.

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

11/09/15     "Soliloquy"

As some of you may know by now from the Facebook Page update, one the first tracks from the 'Nemesis' album was uploaded to the Bandcamp page this morning. It is available from streaming as well as for download. As always, all proceeds will be donated to cancer research. You can check out "Soliloquy" by clicking these three words.
I will update as the next tracks become available. Stay tuned and thank you.

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

10/18/15     Progress As Of Now

The wheels are turning, slow as they may be. As I mentioned in the last update, there is now a T.L.O.P. page on Bandcamp and there is a link to it added on the [Audio/Archives] section. I've uploaded an assortment of tracks from different albums for streaming or download (and yes the proceeds still go to cancer research). Eventually the entire 'Nemesis' album will be available there as it has proven to be a far more reliable streaming site than the others I've bothered to use in the past. The track "Soliloquy" will be uploaded there in the next few weeks (i.e. when I'm satisfied with it... I'm my own worst critic at times). Apparently there is a section on the Bandcamp site for merch as well so I'll be checking that out to see if it would be a more viable option over Zazzle.

The cover art for 'Nemesis' has been added to the [Discography] section courtesy of Manfish Inc. I encourage any bands looking for artwork done to pay the site a visit and see what it has to offer. Check out the Facebook page by clicking here.

I'll update again when "Soliloquy" has been uploaded.

Thanks to those who are still reading.

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

05/03/2015     'Nemesis' Update

My apologies to anyone who has visited the site lately expecting news. Life got in the way I suppose you could say. I've always been the sort of person who only speaks when they have something to say. Now, over a year after the last update, I finally do have news.

The 'Nemesis' sessions are in fact happening. Recording begins this week on three tracks. I'm going to release them in batches of 3 and post them to the various sites I've been using as well as a few new ones including Bandcamp. I'm in the process of setting up a profile and will link to it when it's completed. I will load the three new tracks "Lament", "Soliloquy" and "Revenant ("And The Light Will Drain From You")" once they have been completed and post updates periodically along the way.

As always, thank you to those still reading. I'll make it worth your while.

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

04/12/14    "The best laid plans of mice and men.." - Robert Burns

Figured I owed whomever is reading an update.

As of right now, the 'Nemesis' album is going to see its initial recording sessions this year. Another new track, "Soliloquy", will be added into the line up as well. I'm also looking into a different merch supplier as I feel the amount of the t-shirts ($36+) is outrageous seeing as only $1 of that would actually go to the Cancer Society (that's the amount that would be sent to me which would be donated). I personally couldn't bring myself to pay that plus shipping regardless of what the band is. Nevertheless, I'll post what I can find on here when I can find it. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to send them my way by clicking these three words. I'm excited to start recording again and I will keep you all updated throughout the process.

Thanks to you all for sticking around.

Lethe Oblivion,
T.L.O.P.

03/10/13    "Alas for those that never sing, but die with all their music in them" - Oliver Wendell

Here we are in 2013. I trust all of you survived the 2012 apocalypse and are all the better for it.
Might as well reactivate the web site seeing as we all are alive after all (yes, that was indeed sarcasm).

With this incarnation of the Ground Zero site I've made a few changes in the layout. The Archive section has been merged with the Audio link. If anyone has the urge to see past rantings they need only search through the links there to the Facebook and Myspace blogs. In the Store section I've gotten rid of the mp3 download contraption as it was cumbersome, and eyesore and didn't work half of the time. The tracks are downloadable from the Myspace page until I set up something better. In the meantime, the Zazzle store link is still active and I will upload some new merch for the upcoming 'Nemesis' album.

Speaking of which, the final track list for the 'Nemesis' album is;

01. The Cradle
02. Rageseed
03. Terminus Est
04. Reaching Out (Haunting A House)
05. Omens Shining Brightly
06. The Pariah
07. Nemesis (Return Of The Banshee)
08. Lament
09. Revenant ("And The Light Will Drain From You")
10. "On Lethe's Shores" (Nemesis Epilogue)

I'll post any updates on the recording sessions and any changes as they occur as well as when the 'Nemesis' merch becomes available on the webstore.

And as always, thank you to anyone who is still listening.
